Federal Retirement Planning Seminars - Additional Information

Accommodations: The cost for the Retirement Planning seminars does not include meals or hotel accommodations, although we have reserved a block of rooms for our out-of-town seminar participants. When booking your room please mention that you would like to receive the Federal Government guest room rate.

Retirement Planning Cancellation Policy: Substitutions are permitted any time up to the start of the seminar. If you cancel your registration more than two weeks in advance of the seminar, the cost of the seminar will be refunded. If you cancel or change your registration less than two weeks in advance of the seminar, you will be responsible for the full cost. If you fail to attend the seminar without advance notification you will be responsible for the full cost.

Helpful Materials to Bring to the Seminar

Although this is not a workshop where there would be individual estimates and consultations, it is helpful to be able to apply the concepts learned to your personal situation. Some attendees in the past have found it useful to bring the following materials to use as a reference:

• Retirement Annuity Estimate (available from HR office)
• Recent Pay Statement
• Recent Social Security Statement
• Recent Thrift Savings Plan Statement
• Record of Creditable Service (military active duty records, SF-50’s from previous Federal employment, etc.)
• Communications from the Office of Personnel Management (if applicable)
• Pocket Calculator

A continental breakfast will be served each day at 7:30 A.M. A mid-morning and afternoon coffee break will also be provided daily. All participants will be responsible for providing their own lunch during the conference. Suggestions for eating establishments will be available at the Seminar Registration Desk.
