Project management concepts become real as participants are asked to synthesize the skills learned individually into the big picture of a simulated project. This advanced course uses case study and team-based simulation techniques to emphasize the real-world application of project management techniques. Additionally, participants will use estimating tools and project management software outputs as they develop and manage a project from inception through closeout. This "capstone" course is designed to be taken as the final course in the Master’s Certificates in Project Management.
LEARN HOW TO:
- Identify stakeholders, determine their roles, form relationships, and manage their expectations
- Tailor your project management approach based on project characteristics
- Actively involve your team in project planning and the creation of a shared vision
- Prepare plan components
- Negotiate a baseline with a customer
