Overview

Gain a working knowledge of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) for permanent change of station (PCS) for uniformed service members. This course covers several topic areas, including personnel travel, the shipment of household goods (HHG), and housing relocation costs. You will also learn about Dislocation Allowance (DLA), Temporary Lodging Expense (TLE), and Other PCS allowances for service members. Throughout the course, you will apply the JTR guidance for PCS to real-life scenarios.

Who Attends

This course is designed for individuals who are involved with processing or certifying uniformed service member PCS orders, claims for PCS per-diem travel, transportation or other allowances, or housing relocation. It applies to uniformed service members and their dependents. It is highly recommended for all DoD travel management personnel, approving officers, reviewing officials, supervisors, budget analysts, auditors, and anyone who will be making a PCS move.
