EDFMTC Module 4: Acquisition Business Management
Overview
Explore areas of Defense financial management beyond your daily responsibilities to learn how they relate to the acquisition business cycle. In this course, we will focus on topics that will benefit your Certified Defense Financial Manager Acquisition specialty designation (CDFM-A) exam preparation efforts. The course will provide a comprehensive overview of the rules governing the acquisition of major defense systems from the program manager’s perspective. It incorporates the concepts and policies outlined in the DAU Acquisition Guidebooks, as well as DoDI 5000 document series.
Who Attends
This course is designed for Department of Defense financial management personnel, professionals supporting the acquisition field, and candidates who have completed their Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification and are working to attain the optional Acquisition Specialty (CDFM-A) certification commonly known as Module 4.
Note: This course is highly encouraged for those in DoD that work in weapon systems and other programs. It isn’t designed for those in the acquisition career field.
