The Leadership for Contracting Professionals Program helps bridge the gap between being a leader in a contracting organization and overseeing contract management effectively. It is designed for contracting workforce members who want to develop stronger leadership capabilities. This program supports the competency standards set by NCMA’s ANSI-accredited, Contract Management StandardTM Publication (CMS), and the corresponding Contract Management Book of Knowledge (CMBOK) standards. Participants of this program will have: 

  • Identified ways to improve their management effectiveness 
  • Drafted an action plan to optimize their acquisition outcomes
  • Developed a strong foundation in data analysis techniques that will deliver the insights needed for problem-solving and decision making
  • Learned how to create a vision for their team and communicate it effectively
  • Devised strategies for thinking creatively and being innovative
  • Addressed an example of a problem, challenge, or goal drawn from their workplace
  • Practiced ways to resolve complex issues and enhance performance
  • How to lead organizational change

After the successful completion of each individual course, you will be sent an electronic Training Certificate. Upon completion of all program requirements, you will receive a specialized digital badge identifying the Leadership for Contracting Professionals (Basic) Credentials Program and the associated competencies attained.
