The Agile Acquisition Credentials Program is designed for contracting professionals who seek to save time, reduce risk, and improve the quality of their contracts using Agile practices. This three-course program supports the competency standards set by NCMA’s ANSI-accredited, Contract Management StandardTM Publication (CMS), and the corresponding Contract Management Book of Knowledge (CMBOK) standards. This program provides:

  • An understanding of the key principles of the Agile methodology and the challenges of applying this framework in the federal acquisition environment
  • Foundational knowledge of the values, principles, and theories behind Agile-based project management, and how to apply them to agency acquisitions
  • Best practices for contracting using Agile throughout the acquisition lifecycle with the objective of saving time, reducing risk, and improving the quality of contracts
  • The knowledge necessary to effectively monitor, control, and report on Agile acquisition projects

After the successful completion of each individual course, you will be sent an electronic Training Certificate. Upon completion of all program requirements, you will receive a specialized digital badge identifying the Agile Acquisition (Basic) Credentials Program and the associated competencies attained.

Courses completed prior to submitting this Letter of Intent may apply toward completion of the certificate program you wish to pursue. Please note that you have up to three years from the first certificate program course taken to complete the program.
