Q. Where can I find course descriptions, schedules, and pricing?
Course descriptions, schedules, and pricing for our Federal financial management curriculum are all available here on our website, or call 888.545.8571.
Q. Do courses have to be taken in a specific sequence to receive FFMCP credit?
No, but most students find that completing the core course requirements first helps them better understand the elective course material.
Q. Where can I find information about "Skills for Professional Growth" courses?
"Skills for Professional Growth" courses address professional disciplines outside of Federal financial management that are crucial to managing financial programs and activities. A full listing of applicable courses is available on the FFMCP website located here.
Q. May I transfer from one FFMCP track to another?
Yes, but you must complete all the requirements of your newly chosen FFMCP track within three years of the first day of the first course you take for credit. Notify your Certificate Program Administrator of your desire to transfer to a new track to ensure your course work is applied to the appropriate track.
Q. May I receive FFMCP credit for Management Concepts courses that I attended prior to registering for the certificate program?
Yes, provided that the courses are approved FFMCP courses, were taken within the three-year period allowed by the certificate program, and you fully attended the courses and passed the course examinations. If you haven’t taken the course exams, you may schedule them through your Certificate Program Administrator.
Q. If I attend an onsite Management Concepts course hosted by my organization, will I receive FFMCP credit?
Yes, if the course is included in your track, was conducted in its entirety, and you fully attended the course, and passed the course examination. If you attended an abbreviated version of the course, you must submit a letter of request to the Certificate Program Board and receive approval. For more information, please email your Certificate Program Administrator or call 888.545.8571.
Q. May I transfer courses taken elsewhere to my FFMCP curriculum?
Management Concepts will consider each request on a case-by-case basis. Requests to transfer or substitute courses must be submitted in writing to the Certificate Program Board. Transfer credit will be accepted for one course only. You will need to provide the certificate of completion, course syllabus and learning objectives, table of contents from the course text, number of CPE credits earned, and name of the institution. If the Board approves the course transfer, you will be required to pass the course examination. For more information, please email your Certificate Program Administrator or call 888.545.8571.
