A unique set of skills is required to successfully lead managers in today’s constantly changing world. Leaders must effectively manage in many directions at once while balancing the details for today with finding solutions for the complex challenges for tomorrow.
The Effective Federal Leader is a personalized online experience that addresses the skills that are critical for success today. You’ll learn how to lead virtual teams, techniques to increase resiliency, a comprehensive understanding of your strengths and development opportunities as a leader, and skills for solving complex challenges. You’ll be guided through this interactive experience by top faculty, working closely with them and in small groups of your peers throughout the course.
This unique program combines the proven techniques and world-class content of the Center for Creative Leadership® (CCL®) with Management Concepts’ expertise in successfully developing Federal leaders in support of their mission.
*Special Note on Course Length: In total, the facilitator led portion of the program is about 17 ½ hours. There is a 90-minute kick-off session one week prior to the course start date and then 4 hours of live instruction per each of the 4 class days. In addition to the facilitator led portion, you should expect to dedicate around 6 hours to self-study (around 2 hours per day).

Leading Strategically in the Federal Government combines the proven techniques and world-class content of the Center for Creative Leadership® (CCL®) with Management Concepts’ expertise in successfully developing Federal leaders in support of their mission.
*Special Note on Course Length: In total, the program is about 36 hours in length spanning across 4 ½ days. There will be 28 hours of live instruction and 8 hours of homework/asynchronous collaboration. 4.5 hours of coaching occurs outside the scheduled program (one 60-minute session prior to the program, one 90-minute session one to two weeks after the program, and two 60-minute sessions between one and three months after the program).
